Xen VPS Considerations

We highly recommend that you consider the ways in which a Xen VPS differs from OpenVZ if you are switching platforms:

Customization versus Raw Performance: Xen's hypervisor will provide you with more options to configure your virtual private server's kernel, however, this functionality will have a higher cost of resources than the OpenVZ platform.

Swap Space versus Storage Space: Each Xen VPS is configured with swap space equivalent to twice the guaranteed RAM available with its hosting plan. Swap space allocation will have a minor effect on the amount of disk space available for regular file storage.

Backup Administration: System backups for Xen VPS accounts are self-managed - you will be in charge of your backup schedule.
